Due to the popular uptake of an earlier
discount I'm offering the opportunity to
purchase a Full Day One to One for the
price of a Half Day as a direct payment
or a gift voucher (see below) to be used
later (valid for a year). The Full Day of
your chosen photographic specialism be
it general photography, studio lighting,
Photoshop etc would include a two course
lunch and drinks at The Butt and Oyster
and tea/coffee etc included all day.
The whole package is worth £450 but during
the month of May only £230. If you wanted
a portrait/studio day then a model would be

All prints are hand printed on archive quality
papers using Epson inks and printers.
Please contact Anthony by email - anthony@photographicday.com for enquiries
or purchase a print directly from the gallery.
Photographic prints will come with a title
and credit to Anthony Cullen underneath the
image. All A4 and A3 prints will be posted
using cardboard 'Do Not Bend' envelopes
and postal tubes will be used for the A2 size.
Panoramic images will be centred within the

Beginner and Intermediate Levels
Set in the beautiful surrounds of Pin Mill, Suffolk, an area of outstanding
natural beauty, this one day colour/black and white digital photography
course for compact ‘point and shoot’ or DSLR cameras, including a delicious
2 course lunch and drinks at the famous Butt and Oyster pub, teaches
you the techniques of photography, digital imaging and printing.
Course handouts will also be available on the day.
The day is hosted by Anthony Cullen BA(Hons), The Observer/Hodge
award winning photographer and guest lecturer at NYU with over
17 years of experience.
The courses are now limited to 6 people giving even more opportunity
for personal advice and tuition.
You will need to bring your digital camera and manual, fully charged
batteries and a clean memory card.
The Day - Beginner Level
Meet at The Pin Mill Studio, coffee and hellos then go through a set of
Anthony’s award winning portfolio pictures learning basic photographic
techniques for landscapes, portraits, action, close-ups etc.
11.00 - 1.00 :
Taking pictures using techniques you’ve learnt with personal guidance
from Anthony.
1.00 - 2.00 :
Lunch at the famous riverside pub the Butt and Oyster.
2.00 - 5.00 :
Learn basic computer skills, download images, select one and Anthony
will apply and teach you basic imaging techniques ready for a final high
quality print you can take home.
This will have a more advanced technical and theoretical content assuming
a basic knowledge of your camera, general composition and digital imaging.
Personal Tuition Full Day
A full day (9.30am-5pm) of personal tuition tailored around the level
you are at and the things you want to achieve, be it landscape, portraiture,
studio lighting, macro, general digital photography or any other areas
of interest you may have. The price of £450 includes the two course
lunch and drinks. If you want to bring a friend or partner there is

Beginner and Intermediate 121
Personal Tuition Half Day
A half day (9.30am-1pm) of personal tuition tailored around the level you
are at and the things you want to achieve, be it landscape, portraiture,

interest you may have. The price of £230 includes the two course lunch and

Portrait Day
A full day (9.30-5) of different techniques needed to achieve beautiful
portraits in different conditions. We will mainly be using available light
but will also introduce a couple of set-ups using flash. I will cover where
to shoot, the equipment needed, how to use the equipment, best angles,
the decisive moment and other techniques to create beautiful portraits.
I will also cover some basic photoshop to enhance your picture and how
to print the final image. The price of £135 includes a model and a two
course lunch and drink at the Butt and Oyster. Refreshments all day
are free. Dates for the portrait days are listed to the left. The course
is limited to six students for personal tuition.
Personal Small Group Tuition Day
A full day at the Pin Mill Studio for groups of up to 4 people at a time,
to suit you. The price of £600 includes a delicious two course lunch and

Photoshop Day for Beginners
A day spent learning quick and easy techniques to turn your pictures from
o.k. to wow! Nothing to involved but still very effective; one tool one job.
The tools and techniques are good for the Photoshop Elements and
CS range. With small class of up to 4 people I can adapt to individual needs
and levels. Turn up with your own laptop or get involved in the class tuition
on the day; more details on booking. The price is £145 and as usual a
lovely two course lunch (light lunches available) and drinks included on
the day as well as free tea, coffee etc all day.
Corporate Photographic Day
Corporate days available on request at anytime - the day would be tailored
to your company's individual requirements not only for a positive team
building exercise but with useful and practical photographic content useful
for your business i.e - batch processing, sending pictures by email (at a
useable size) but not crashing the system, pictures into Word documents,

Beginners (Part 1) Studio/Home Flash
Courses 121 Tuition
Learn how to use your external flash gun in TTL mode, fill in flash,
bouncing, manual mode etc. and a basic lighting set up using Elinchrom
heads in a set up you could recreate at home or in a studio. Also basic
computer skills and Photoshop. The price of £230 includes a model, 121
tuition and a two course lunch and drinks at the famous Butt and Oyster.
Beginners (Part 2) Studio/Home Flash
Courses 121 Tuition
Expanding on the basic Elinchrom lighting set up to include soft boxes,
lighting a backdrop, shooting a basic still life set up and Photoshop
techniques for getting rid of spots, bags, lines on the face as well as other
useful stuff for studio photography that can be done at home or in a studio.
Once again the price of £230 includes a model, 121 tuition and a two
course lunch and drinks at the famous Butt and Oyster.
Full Day Studio/Home Flash Courses 121 Tuition
wiith an Additional Friend/Partner for Free
The price of £450 includes parts one and two 121 tuition with
a friend/partner for free if you like, a model and a two course
lunch and drinks at The Butt and Oyster.

'walking distance' School House Bed and Breakfast; also on the peninsula
but a short drive away are the Wrinch Farm B&B and Maytrees B&B.
